Why on earth is everyone referring to Brian Thompson as a “healthcare CEO”???!
He is a health INSURANCE CEO! That matters here, so get it right people. Stop trying to make him sound like a “good person” running a healthcare company. He was running a health INSURANCE company that we know most definitely caused thousands upon thousands of people to die or suffer severely for a long time! I’m not saying I’m celebrating his death, but I certainly don’t think his death is any more reprehensible than the deaths of those who died because his insurance company denied paying for their treatment. I am also not saying taking him out is justice, because unfortunately, there will never be justice for all those people who are and were victims of that insurance company.
So let’s be honest with ourselves here: to a whole lot of people around this country, that hooded, masked man is a fucking hero, and it doesn’t matter if you don’t like that, because they do not have to cater to your feelings.
